Last night was a BIG night for “Hugo” as the film took home 5 awards out of the 11 nominations. “Hugo” won awards for: Best Cinematography, Best Art Direction, Best Visual Effects, Best Sound Editing, and Best Sound Mixing. Chloe was not at the awards, but she was watching from Italy and was tweeting her reactions.
Nominations are in for the 84th Annual Acadamy Awards aka The Oscars, and “Hugo” received a whopping 11 nominations! Congratulations to Chloe and everyone involved with this film. Check out the categories and be sure to tune in Sunday, February 26th.

Congratulations to Martin Scoresese, and the cast of “Hugo” on their nomination for ‘Best Director,’ ‘Best Score,’ and ‘Best Motion Picture – Drama’ for the 69th Annual Golden Globe Awards!
How exciting! “Hugo” along with “The Artist” lead the Critics’ Choice Movie Awards with 11 nominations each in various categories.
The films “Hugo” and “The Artist” lead the pack with the most nominations for the 17th annual Critics’ Choice Movie Awards on VH1.
The Broadcast Film Critics Association announced the nominees on Tuesday.
The two movies received 11 nominations each- including Best Picture. The nominations were one short of the record 12 nominations for “Black Swan” last year.
“The Help” and “Drive” each received eight nominations; “The Descendants” and “War Horse” also follow as top contenders with seven nods.
George Clooney received nominations for the films “The Ides of March” and “The Descendants,” giving him a record 13 nominations over the years.
Martin Scorsese, director of “Hugo,” will also be honored with the Critics’ Choice Music+Film Award at the show.
The winners will be announced on Jan. 12 at the Hollywood Palladium
